The Bronx River will be the theme of this month’s tour. First up, we’ll visit River Garden, one of the oldest community gardens in NYC, and see their rainwater harvest system, which captures rain for use in the garden while preventing excess stormwater from entering the adjacent river. We’ll dine at Drew Gardens, a community garden and urban woodland on the banks of the Bronx River. Finally, we’ll catch a view along the Bronx shore at Waterfront Community Garden in Soundview.
