The Hard Rock Cafe at Yankee Stadium has some pretty exciting offers for diners right now.
In honor of the legendary Lawrence Peter “Yogi” Berra’s birthday today, May 12, Hard Rock Cafe Yankee Stadium is celebrating with special deals as the New York Yankees face off with the Kansas City Royals.
Hard Rock Cafe Yankee Stadium will be offering Yogi’s favorite Yoo-hoo and a $8 Legendary Burger (each sold separately), featuring a Certified Angus Beef® patty topped with smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, a golden fried onion ring, crisp lettuce, and a vine ripened tomato on a toasted brioche bun. It’s also served with Hard Rock’s seasoned fries. And if guests are sporting Yogi’s jersey, they will receive 8% off all Rock Shop purchases!
World Burger Tour 2
Buenos Aires, Argentina
The Hard Rock Cafe is also running its second (NSFW) World Burger Tour featuring four of the sexiest burger recipes we’ve had nestled between two buns. Each burger on the tour is inspired by a different world city. BxfB had the chance to stop in this week to eat through every city built around Angus Beef—starting with Buenos Aires.
It’s really true what they say, “You never forget your first love”.
The Tango Salsa Burger, inspired by Argentina’s lively capital, is as flavorful as the city is playful. Salsa criolla (a South American version of salsa), garlic aioli, and fried egg over easy made it the juiciest burger on the tour, while the tearing crunch of the Andouille sausage gave it an extra edge. It was the favorite of all four and that’s saying a lot since every burger was amazing it its own right.
Honolulu, Hawaii USA
The Aloha Burger inspired by Honolulu, Hawaii USA tops the Certified Angus Beef patty with (wait for it) SPAM, which was coupled with a grilled pineapple ring and sweet soy glaze. Biting through the sweet and salty layers made for a seriously memorable burger, while the guacamole and pico de gallo provide just enough lift.
That are a few key ingredients you can expect from a Greek Burger like capers, black olives, and feta cheese. But the way they’re put together will definitely inspire you to take a tasting tour of Athens, Greece at the HRC. The ingredients were combined to make a chunky spread of slightly tangy mediterranean flavor. Also featuring Tzatziki sauce, the Greek Burger is earthier compared to the others and great for a lighter option.
Las Vegas, Nevada
Las Vegas, Nevada is hot. (That’s open to interpretation.) So naturally any burger baring its name as a source of inspiration is going to be dynamic—or more specifically, atomic. The Atomic! Burger features fried onions and jalapeños, pepperjack cheese, sriracha mayo, and a bun garnished with two crispy, atomic beer-battered peppers for a fiery finish. It’s also served with a bold atomic ketchup for dipping to add even more heat. The most fun to eat of all four, prepare to experience a full range of emotions to accompany each level of spiciness.
Now, it goes without saying, an order of fries is probably the greatest sidekick to an entree in the history of food. It’s like the Owen Wilson or Judy Greer of food. Just saying. So I couldn’t sign off on the World Burger Tour without giving due mention to HRC’s artisan fries—mainly the herb and garlic fries with Chimichurri mayo and the poutine smothered in brown gravy. Any good order of fries adds something to a meal, but artisan and specialty fries always elevate the dining experience and that was definitely true here. They’re enough to anticipate the next visit, but you already have four other reasons to do that above.
The World Burger Tour ends May 31, but another four will be released for June!
