Savor The Bronx Restaurant Week is back for its sixth year. The community event, produced by the Bronx Tourism Council and co-hosted by the Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation (BOEDC), will take place starting today, Monday, November 7th through Friday, November 18th.
There are 40 participating eateries, including Havana Café, Mott Haven Bar & Grill, The Bronx Brewery, Lloyd’s Carrot Cake, and Chelsea Craft Brewing Company, which were present for the Savor The Bronx press conference and preview held Tuesday, November 2nd at the Residence Inn Marriott at Metro Center Atrium.
In a speech, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. called the preview “just a tip of the iceberg of all the food restaurants and producers that call The Bronx Home.” He credited Bronx restaurants as a leading cause for the borough’s latest 14% increase in tourism and presented awards to six food businesspeople, while attendees applauded in between bites of yellow rice, shrimp ceviche, and other fare from local eateries.
