Football season means watch parties. Even if it’s a party of one, a party is still a party, and a good party needs good food. Balancing your attention between the game and talking sh*t about the game requires finger foods that will let you do blind grabs, which is why chips and dip, like guac, is a must.
Every foodie knows that lightbulb moment when you’re about to buy ready-made food from the supermarket and think, ‘why don’t I just make that myself’. Guacamole is definitely something we put a premium on, so we prefer to skip the pre-made for homemade. For that, The Bronx Hot Sauce shared a great guac recipe, infused with their peppery product, from its chef King Phojanakong to make your taste buds do a touchdown.
Yield: 3-4 servings
3 Avocados, halved, seeded & peeled
1 Lime, juiced
Salt and Pepper to taste
2 Tomatoes, Roma, seeded & diced
1 tbs Cilantro and/or Parsley, chopped
1-3 tbs The Bronx Hot Sauce depending on desired spiciness
1. Mash the avocados with the lime juice and salt and pepper using a fork or potato masher.
2. Fold in the tomatoes, herbs and the Bronx Hot Sauce.
